Your own isolated Docker container running Nginx, PHP-FPM, and WordPress. It's not shared hosting where you're competing with hundreds of other sites for the same WordPress installation. Your container has its own filesystem, its own database user, its own SSL, and its own NVMe storage. You can reboot it, redeploy it, or destroy it from your dashboard without asking anyone.

From your site dashboard, just click "WP Admin". We sign you in automatically - no passwords to copy, no browser prompts. Once you're in, it's standard WordPress.

By default, wp-admin is only accessible through your DownUnderWP dashboard. This protects your site from brute-force login attacks. If you need other users to log in directly - for customers, editors, or community members - you can disable login protection in your site settings. You'll see a warning before you do, and rate limiting on wp-login.php stays active either way.

We offer an optional Daily Backups add-on that takes a daily off-site snapshot of your full WordPress site (files plus database), keeps 7 days of history, and lets you download or one-click restore from your dashboard. You can add it at any time from your dashboard - we never silently charge for it. We strongly recommend it for any production site.

We also recommend exporting your WordPress content periodically yourself (Tools → Export in WP-Admin) and keeping copies offsite. Pricing for the add-on is shown on our website and in your dashboard.

Most themes and plugins work fine - Elementor, ACF, contact forms, SEO plugins, page builders and similar. These plans are sized for content sites, blogs and simple business WordPress. They're not built for high-traffic online stores or large membership and community sites - if that's what you're planning, talk to us before you sign up.

A small number are switched off automatically, because they duplicate something we already do for you or because they slow your site down. Each one explains itself in WordPress, and the full list is in your dashboard.

Image conversion plugins work a little differently. Converting images to WebP or AVIF on the server competes with your own site for processing power, so we switch them off the first time we see one. If you do need to run one, turn it back on - your site runs at 50% speed while it's active and returns to full speed when you turn it off.

There are two easier ways to get the same result without slowing anything down. Cloudflare can convert your images automatically as they're delivered on their paid plans, so nothing happens on your site at all. Otherwise convert them before you upload, using a free tool like Squoosh or the export settings in Photoshop, Affinity or Canva - which also gives you control over the quality.

A small number of plugins don't work well on managed hosting - not just ours. WP Engine, Kinsta and most managed hosts restrict the same categories.

Backup plugins - Backup plugins write large archives into your own site, which eats your storage and can corrupt a restore. Backups belong off the server, not inside it.

Caching plugins - Caching plugins add processing work on every page load and fill your site's storage with cache files.

Code snippet plugins - These keep custom code in your database and run it on every page load. One small mistake in a snippet takes the entire site offline, and anyone who reaches your admin account can use it to run code of their own.

Database admin tools - These expose your entire database through the browser. If anyone gets into your admin account, they get everything.

Database and link cleanup plugins - These crawl your whole site or rewrite large parts of the database in the background, which slows the site down for visitors while they run and can lose content if interrupted.

File manager plugins - These let anyone with admin access upload and run code on the server. It is the single most common way a WordPress site gets taken over.

Image conversion plugins - Converting images to WebP or AVIF on the server competes with your own site for processing power, so pages get slower for visitors exactly while the conversion runs. These aren't blocked outright: switch one back on and we'll leave it alone, but your site runs at 50% speed while it's active. Better options are Cloudflare's image conversion on their paid plans, or converting before you upload with a free tool like Squoosh.

Migration plugins - These rewrite the database and file paths in ways that conflict with how your site is set up here, and a half-finished migration can leave the site unreachable.

Plugins that run custom code - These let anyone signed in as an administrator run their own code on the server. It turns a stolen password into a fully taken-over site, and there is no safe way for us to contain it once it runs.

Remote management plugins - These let an outside dashboard install, change and delete anything on your site. If that dashboard is compromised, so is your site, and the change would look like it came from you.

Security plugins that duplicate ours - Attacks are blocked before they reach your site. A plugin doing the same job inside WordPress adds load and can lock you out of your own admin.

Video conversion plugins - Re-encoding video on the server takes enormous processing power and will slow your own site to a crawl while it runs.

If you think something was switched off by mistake, open a support ticket.

When you cancel, your account stays active for the rest of the current billing period. After that, you have a 7-day grace period to download your database and export your WordPress content (Tools → Export in WP-Admin) before your container, database, and data are permanently deleted. We don't hold your data hostage - it's yours - but you do need to grab a copy during that window.

Yes - that's the only option. You point your domain's A record at your city server's IP address. We give you that IP when you deploy. SSL via Let's Encrypt kicks in automatically. Subdomains work fine too.

Single Site is one WordPress installation on one domain. Multisite uses WordPress's built-in network feature - one container running up to 5 subsites, with 3 included and 2 more available as add-ons at $3/mo each. All subsites share the 5GB storage allocation. Multisite is ideal if you manage a few related sites or small sites for clients.

Yes, and it doesn't cost anything - it's included on both plans, and there is no setup fee, no migration fee and no minimum term attached to it. Tell us where the site is now and give us access, and we'll bring the files and the database across, get it running on our servers, check it over, and only then tell you exactly when to change your DNS. Your existing site stays up and serving visitors the entire time, so there's no window where your site is offline while we work.

While we're in there we'll set Cloudflare up for you as well, if you want it - free CDN, caching and DDoS protection in front of your site. That's also included, and also something we just do rather than something you buy.

If you'd rather move it yourself, you can: the dashboard has import tools that take the common WordPress backup formats, including All-in-One WP Migration and Duplicator archives. Either way, the answer to "what does the move cost" is nothing.

Pick the city closest to most of your visitors. For Australian businesses, Melbourne or Sydney will suit most people. If your audience is in Southeast Asia, Singapore will give better latency. You can always open a ticket to migrate to a different city later.
